Biography
Over 20 years’ experience in higher education administration (Human Resources, Career Services, Disability Services).
And over 15 years of education and experience career and life coaching adults (Autism Spectrum / Asperger's and related profiles expertise).
~Advising and coaching undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, staff, and other adults outside of academia
~Event and program management, workshop design, presentation, and training
~Systems development and implementation, documentation control, end user experience
~Engaged life-long learner in wide-range of academic fields, especially positive psychology, and neurodiversity
Merge these experiences with many of my personality characteristics and the end result is a life view that can be nicely described by borrowing a few words from a well-known Autism advocate, Temple Grandin:
"When I was younger, I was looking for this magic meaning of life. It’s very simple now. Making the lives of others better, doing something of lasting value. That’s the meaning of life, it’s that simple.”
Each day I experience personal and professional fulfillment. This is accomplished because I leverage my well-honed skills and strengths, curious and collaborative nature, commitment to empowering others, and value a diverse and inclusive community. I bring to my professional life these skills and viewpoint to assist an organization to flourish.
