Biography
Melissa Scheid Frantz (she/her) is a Leadership & Empowerment Coach with over 25 years working in higher education at both private and public institutions. Her career has included roles in workplace training and organizational development, student affairs, and organizational diversity. Melissa currently balances her private coaching practice and her internal coaching role at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
As a coach, Melissa helps clients develop empowering thoughts and actions to lead the professional lives they desire. This includes helping clients develop skills and strategies to expand their communication and leadership effectiveness. Specifically, Melissa coaches emerging and senior leaders with performance and leadership development, and coaches women and people of color to boost self-advocacy and self-empowerment.
Melissa is a certified Professional Diversity Coach through CoachDiversity Institute and a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation. She is also a certified practitioner for administering the Myers Brigg Type Indicator® to boost clients' self-awareness of their strengths and abilities to flex their work styles. Melissa possesses an MA in International & Intercultural Management from the SIT Graduate Institute in Vermont and a BA in Communication Arts from Hamline University in Minnesota.
