Leads an executive coaching, organizational consulting, facilitation and training practice. Works with physicians, scientists, engineers, academics, and other experts who have moved into managerial and leadership positions--as well as C-Suite leaders. Developed industry expertise in biotech, pharmaceuticals, biopharma, large health care organizations, academia, finance, investments, and retail/consumer goods. Work has spanned coaching leaders in venture capital funded start-ups to facilitating leadership development programs in Fortune 100 companies to co-leading culture change in maximum security prisons.
Rob Greenly specializes in coaching and advising physician leaders moving into senior positions in biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies. He has particular expertise with the transition from academic medicine to industry. Rob draws upon his own firsthand experience as a senior leader and shares lessons-learned from his tenure as Director of Leadership at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Director of Organization Development and Training—Astra Pharmaceuticals, Vice President of Leadership and Organization Development—Boston Scientific, and Chief Administrative Officer for Human Resources—Putnam Investments.
Rob earned his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and his MBA from the Yale University School of Management. He is the first and only Harvard College alum to be elected President of the Yale Alumni Association of Boston. He recently was an Executive Officer for the Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors and currently is Co-Chair of the global Yale Day of Service. Rob was nominated for the 2013 Executive Coach of the Year by the International Coaching Federation—New England. He is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC), undertook advanced training to become a Certified Physician Development Coach, and is certified in a number of assessment and development instruments.
